 Kambi Ya Tembo Luxury Tented Camp
is located at Sinya,
Kambi ya Tembo
faces the snow capped peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro bordering Kenya at
Amboseli National Park
consists of 10 luxury
tents with en suite facilities, each one under the shade of an old
massive Acacia Tortilis tree.
This 'off the beaten track' camp is the only permanent camp in this
area. It offers spectacular landscapes, excellent game viewing
and close interaction with the local Masai.
The neighboring Masai still live in the traditional way and follow all
the traditional ceremonies.
They are very friendly and unexposed to the commercial relationship with
tourists that is common in other more visited areas.
Activities
may include game drives in open vehicles; night
game drives, and
walking safaris escorted by Maasai warriors.
